¨Getting in touch with your true self must be your first priority.¨ Tom HopkinsLately, the topic of ¨prioritization¨ has been woven into some of my most recent conversations. Why? Well, the truth behind prioritization is that it can be misleading. Actually, we can mislead ourselves to believe Item A has a higher priority than Item B. But in the big scope of things, perhaps we are simply trying to persuade ourselves to believe the logic behind our prioritization. In turn, we respond and act according to our priorities. Assuming we take the time to reflect and evaluate what matters to us, then all is good and we are on our path to living the life the we want.
Stop for a moment and imagine the following scenario:
What if your priorities were not in tune with you? What if you had gotten caught up in the daily grind and forgotten about yourself? About the things that really mattered to you? Perhaps, you are following priorities that are not in sync with your inner self, just checking things off the list.
In life, we need to stand up for our true priorities. Because in the end, no one will live with those decisions except ourselves. Make you, your first priority... and be honest with yourself!
